Appeal for Providing Urgent Relief to Affected Families following COVID-19 Lockdown in Remote Central Tribal India
In the view of current crisis, Samaj Pragati Sahayog is planning to provide financial assistance to the families in some of its areas of direct operation (Dewas and Khargone districts, MP).Our plan is to reach out to about 12000 urban and peri-urban families of the area with direct and immediate income support of Rs. 1000 per family.
With the help of the community institutions supported by us, such as Self Help Groups (SHGs) and SHG Federations, we have identified and prepared a list of households in dire need for support. In our estimate, this amount of Rs. 1000 is just sufficient to meet the basic needs of the family for a month.
We propose to provide support to these families by directly transferring money into their accounts at the earliest. Each one of these families is very well known to us and each of them have bank accounts. All these account holders are women.
For this initiative, the estimated requirement is 12000 x Rs. 1000 = Rs. 1.20 crores. We request you to provide your support to this initiative. Please also indicate in the purpose of this donation as CORONA. You can make a wire transfer as per details below
