Goonj's work over the last 2 decades has been around building an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance and dignity between communities in the cities and villages, using the under-utilized urban material as a tool for rural development. Through their teams spread across the country, Goonj has been reaching out to migrant workers and people in remote villages to make sure they are provided for. While doing so, they have been procuring produce from local farmers and artisans for their relief kits, rebuilding local economies along the way. What are the post-covid possibilities that we can imagine for these villagers who have returned home? What can we learn from their on-ground experience?
