Swaraj Abhiyan, Delhi

Till 14th of April, Swaraj Abhiyan distributed more than 50,000 kg of ration amongst 3,500 of the neediest families. Instead of doing mass distribution, their volunteers identified families that are left out from any kind of existing relief mechanism. Then they handed them over a ration kit containing 5 days of basic food survival items including rice, atta, dal, salt, oil, and Haldi, plus soap.

For those who do not have the means to cook or the warmth of a home, they are providing cooked food packets and they have been able to reach more than 25,000 such people. The cost of these relief efforts in Delhi is about Rs. 2 lakh per day.

They had managed to carry on till the 14th of April with the help of some generous donors. But now they have almost exhausted their funds and are faced with the possibility of having to stop the relief efforts. It would be tragic to stop, just when it is needed even more than before.

They need to raise Rs. 40 lakh to continue this work in Delhi till the end of this extended lockdown. They appeal to you to donate generously to this relief efforts so that we all help the families whose survival is at stake.
